*****WARNING***** THIS IS VERY ADDICTING***** WARNING*****
funny story:
Hunter reminded me yesterday about how we are supposed to avoid things that can be addicting and then he said, "and things like hunting(glad he said that one first) and working out and going to Life Time can be addicting too, right?"
Yup. That's my kid. I could tell that one had been rolling around in there for a while. It opened up a great conversation about not letting things control us or take away our free agency to a point where we can't function without having the substance we are craving. By allowing ourselves to be addicted to something we give over some of our control to that substance. It made me think about what I give my control over too. Dog gone kids...
I asked him what brought it up and he said that when I was at the Cancer Walk/Run taking pictures for my friend that organized it, he was talking to Brother Black who was watching the kids. Hunter asked him why he wasn't running it and Gabe's reply was that he didn't run because he didn't want to get addicted to it! I was laughing and told Hunter that he was probably joking and trying to be funny but Hunter said, "NO he really was serious. That's why he doesn't run."
oh. my. goodness.
ReplyDeletethank you so much.
and, yes, it IS addicting.
or almost.
