Welcome home Felix!

Hunter has been learning about different countries for the last month or so and they have been tracking where their friend Felix the bunny has been traveling to. The class has recieved mail from many out of state relatives of the students. Once they received the mail they would read it aloud and then put a pin on the map of the location of the sender. Hunter has had a great time with this and was one of the first to recieve mail. He got mail from Utah from Nana and some great pictures of Zions Nations Park to show the class.

Last night was the welcome home party for Felix and Hunter was out of his skin with excitement. He asked several times how many more minutes until we could go. He sang his welcome home Felix song for me all the way through and said he was going to sing it with his class for all of the parents. I really hoped he would but didn't get my hopes up because Hunter does not like to be in front of a crowd, especially singing a song in front of all 3 kindergarten class' parents . He has never sung in any of the primary presentations in church and will not even go up to stand with the other kids. On Easter Sunday he would not go up even though Sienna ran right up so excited for her first chance to perform. Well last night he proved me wrong. He not only stood in the front row but he sang the entire thing while smiling. Not smiling his usual shy smirk of a smile, but a full on smile. Great job Hunter. We are so pleased with your accomplishment of overcoming your fear!
